RV Pandaw 1947


The Ayayawaddy river cruise, established to Cruising Boutique Hotel after WWII by the Inland Water Transport Board of the Union of Burma Government with the Technical Expertise of the Ayeyawaddy Company at that time acting as Agents to I.W.T Board. This magnificent RV Pandaw was built in Scotland on the Clyde by the famous ship builder Yarrow & Co in 1947 with the same design of the pre-war Quarter Wheeler Steamers of the Ayeyawaddy Flotilla Company. This unique revert Colony vogue, the ship is simply the unique features providing plenty of open air spaces, library, and classic bedrooms are deliberately lacking the modern facilities. The Ship is currently managed by Interconnection Company and operating between Bagan and Mandalay on schedule basis, and Upper Ayeyawaddy Cruise is also operates occasional charter basis.
